• Match the blade to the saw you use, the material being cut, and the amount of cutting you need to do.
• For medium- and large-sized jobs, base the purchase on cost per cut, rather than initial price. For small jobs or occassional sawing, a lowerpriced blade might be the best choice.
• Find out the saw’s speed rating, or recommended rpm.
• Decide if wet cutting or dry cutting is best for the application. Dry-cutting blades usually can be used with water, but wet-cutting blades must not be used dry.
• Determine how much material needs to be cut.
• Estimate the necessary depth of cut.
• If more than one type of concrete needs to be cut, base your decision on the material that will be cut most often or the material for which top blade performance is most important
