Selecting the right crack router machinery and equipment has been shown to be critical to the success of a construction project. During this selection process, various factors and parameters need to be carefully considered and evaluated. In particular, the experience of machinery/equipment operators plays a critical role. In order to cover a variety of operator experiences, a survey was designed and conducted during all the tests.
The survey criteria were composed based on the three factors:
(1) safety,
(2) productivity
(3)quality .
In order to better understand the responses, all of the qualitative factors were changed to quantitative numbers (such as 1 to 5), and the crews were asked to make a numerical evaluation. Each crew first worked with the device and then filled out the survey. Since the majority of crews have more than ten years of working experience with the existing device, their responses to the questions provided a valuable opportunity to make an appropriate comparison between crack router and existing equipment.
